Wild curls and a wicked mind, this woman knows how to work it. Roxanne is my friend, a fabulous artist and a fellow Fashion Hound – Lady loves to thrift and man does she make it look cool. She came shopping with me at The Salvation Army and we decided to find something to showcase those dangerous curves. We went for latte and caramel tones to honor her gorgeous skin and hair, something lady like, cinched in subtle sexy but oh so striking. These are classic pieces that look fabulous as a team but could easily work as seperates with denim, sneakers or paired with a statement jacket. Love the contrast of her navy python heels too – so hot.
She looks a million bucks for the beautiful price tag of $50.
Roxanne rocks thrift you can too.

Some people quite simply sparkle inside and out…Melissa Ambrosini is the kinda girl you wish you could hate but she’s just too damn cool and kind to even consider it. Melissa has a wonderful blog called Path to Wellness which in an [organic] nutshell is all about being the best YOU! We were #Instafriends first, as I was constantly crushing over her inspirational quotes and infectious vibe. Then on one lovely Sydney winter day we decided to take the friendship to the next level and let loose in a Red Cross store so I could eco style her. Pure and pristine like this girls inner workings I went for a fresh white tone on tone palette just perfect for Melissa’s prettiness [And my alliteration addiction]. Australian Red Cross stores are stacked with beautiful knits like this – they even have a fair trade initiative with Country Road – not only does the iconic Ozzie label donate surplus and excess stock weekly – so you can be sure to find beautiful quality pieces- they also encourage you to do the same and reward with you with in store discounts on your next purchase. Back to our beautiful model Miss Melissa – click here to see her site, check in for some mentoring, grab a great recipe here, her ebook or join Melissa at one of her workshops…such a ray if sunshine she is.

Apart from a few construction hat/carpet python moments (See Jeremy Scott above) and some Living Pants Free partaking (SeeMan Repeller for the 411) the residing war cry of New York Fashion Week 2013 was Wearability.
Easy breezy Bermuda shorts at Peter Som, gold tasseling and decadent details given unto us by Altuzarra, sheer panelling well… everywhere, but super sexy offerings abound from aforementioned Jeremy Scott
Bananas in Marc Jacobs pyjamas serious stripes… a rebellion take on the botanical at Phillip Lim Rebecca Minkoff continued to master her cool as f*@k aesthetic with some creamy, dream bohemy printed pants and eternal style story teller Anna Sui served up all of the above with a side of 80′s in the slickest and wickedest of ways. But seriously I looked at the majority of the collections and thought…I could wear that…I would wear that…and hell maybe I could even get my DIY on and make that! That’s the way it should be – inspiring, stylish and shock of all shock…style that’s actually going to work for the everyday – yay.
As always the real stories happen when they transcend from the runway to the real way, so here’s my pick of the current trends living and breathing on the streets of NYC. Delivered from the one and only Tommy Ton

Thought I’d show you the other side of me…the me that loves to Photograph! I just picked up a camera one day and totally fell in love with it…that’s how Fashion Hound was born actually. My beloved Beagle Soho (RIP sweet girl) and I just starting sniffing around the streets a couple of years back, for tasty slices of style. I took these pics of Jonathon and his divine little pooch Romeo in NYC – outside the slinky Standard Hotel. What a killer couple right! Want to know more – watch the video below. Made by moi x
