Anything army or military is a massive drawcard for me – especially if it’s vintage. I love what it symbolises – strength, standing the test of time and a fighter spirit. Drop me in an army disposal store and you’ll have to send out a search party. Seriously all those badges, patches, medals and my favourite, army shirts like this bad boy I found at Uncle Sam’s in the West Village, NYC. It’s a 1950’s Korean army shirt that I DIY’d – Hand stitched feather epaulettes, chain mail/glomesh trimmed pockets and the piece de resistance some brooch bling also from the 50’s.
