Introductions can be tricky.

Akward small talk, the anticipation of ‘will we get along’ and wondering where it could all lead. Luckily some chance meetings flow effortlessly, even perceived differences ain’t no thing. Two kids from opposing sides of town, when summer met winter it just worked.

With yours truly playing cupid, I pulled back my bow and put this vintage dress on the path of my thrifted black Levis and Leather jacket.

I adore finding new fashion beauty in the old, beaten up and discarded. I love the print of this ‘Grandma Frock’ but knew it was too pretty for me to wear on its own, I wanted to give her a little bit of grit. I kept the buttons undone to show the denim and belted her in for a dash of feminine persuasion. A modern nod to 90’s grunge and fun way to rework the seasons into one, especially when the weather here in New York City is so hot/cold.

Vintage Dress, belt and Levi’s found at Housing Works Buy the Bag in Brooklyn, leather jacket from The Salvation Army.
